Foto Friday

 Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Foto Friday.  

I Just got a new lense for my Canon M50.  It's a 22mm which is supposed to be good in lower light.  I thought it would be great at Reptile House + Bird House at our local zoo.  We hadn't been to the zoo in over a year (thanks Covid 😑). 

 

So we go to the zoo.  The animals aren't that close so it didn't take many good animal pics but I got some nice scenery pics.  And the main reason for going to the zoo (Reptiles + Birds) were closed.  😞

I'm still very new to my camera so I'm learning more every time I take it out.  Enjoy the pics!

Graffiti House - Rancocas State Park

 Hello Everybody!

I forgot to post about a really cool trail we did on 3-14-21.  We took a daytrip to Rancocas State Park.  It was a few hours away but worth it.  There is an abandoned house filled with graffiti.  So colorful!  

A local told us it is called Mr. Wilkies House.  Most popular story says Mr. Wilkie was hired by the park to be a caretaker which included being able to live in the 2 story lakefront house.  Eventually he stopped doing his job and was fired and asked to leave and they never hired anyone else.

Another local told us they were in the house a few weeks before.  They took some video.  When they got home there and watched the video there were all kinds of scary noises that weren't there.  They researched it and found out it was haunted.  👻

I didn't take video in the house and I didn't research any of this so I can't say.  I do know we got some great pics even though it was really dark inside the house.  If we go back I will take video.😉  Everyone we met that day was super friendly.  😊

My Hubby works overnights and sometimes gets to see beautiful sunrises.  Amazing how fast the sky can change.  These were taken by him and were 2 minutes apart.

Ocean City, NJ Boardwalk Daytrip

 Hi Everyone!

On Sunday it was sunny + 53.  We took a daytrip to Ocean City Boardwalk.  When we were last there on Valentine's Day there was snow so it was a big difference. lol

I took the GoPro and took a few minutes of video.  I took a few pics and hubby took a few.  I put them together in a short video.  

We had a nice time.  After the last year of being stuck inside we are really enjoying getting out any chance we can. 😊

A First For Me

 Hi Everybody!

A few things about me you probably don't know:

I do NOT like coffee.  I didn't grow up in a house that drank coffee.  Maybe if I did I might like it.  My son LOVES coffee.  He drinks it at home.  He goes to coffee shops.  I have no clue where or when he had his 1st cup but he is addicted.  lol

I love tea.  Iced or hot.  I'm not a tea snob.  I buy tea bags at the grocery store.  I do have tea balls for loose tea which I get every now and then.  I drink all kinds.  I usually have 6-8 different kinds on hand at home all the time.

I never order tea out except iced tea and it has to be unsweetened.  I drink hot tea unsweetened too.  Exceptions are fruit teas which I feel need just a pinch of sugar or honey.  I find them a little bitter without it.

My hubby doesn't like either.  Yea I know he's odd.  LOL

I have heard good things about Chai Tea but I've never had it.  My son took me out for a tea from a local coffee shop he loves.  I got a Chai Tea Latte.  Wow!  It was so yummy!  My very 1st Chai Tea Latte was a 👍.  Loved it!
