I thought you might like to see what I'm busy doing lately. It's a huge project so it will take a seriously long time (maybe years) to finish. I've been wanting to do this for a long time.
Now that we are in a digital world I've been wanting to scan all the boxes of photos we have. Do you have boxes of pics too? We have 7 of these plus a bunch of photo albums.
I had to buy a scanner. We used to have a scanner/printer but it was a pain in the butt. Always needing to be realigned. We gave it away a few years ago. Now we just have a printer. So of course now I decide that I want to scan pics. LOL I bought this at a Thrift Store for $2. It's huge. Installing it on my computer took 1 1/2 days. My computer did not like it. lol Finally I got them to get along and the scanner works great.
Hubs works night shift so he sleeps during the day. Scanner is very noisy so I only scan when he has off and we aren't busy, which isn't often so this project will take a long time.In early 90's every pic I had got water damage when my apartment flooded. So I salvaged what I could because I just couldn't throw them all out. I have a box of pics with damage like this.
This is the only pic I have left of Fred Bunny. I just couldn't throw it away.A few years ago we had a hot water pipe leaking under house. We didn't know and it had been leaking for a while. Well all the photo boxes were on the floor in a closet. I guess the heat and moisture got to those pics too. When I went through the boxes to sort the pics out, 3 boxes were stuck together. I was so sad. 😞 Hours I spent carefully peeling them apart. Lots of them are damaged and look like Fred's pic. I'm still going to scan them and crop them the best I can.
So this will keep me busy in my spare time. I'll do another update when I finish. It won't be anytime soon. lol
