Foto Friday

 Hi!

I forgot to do a Foto Friday last week.  Sorry! 😕

Foto Friday is going on a summer hiatus.  I live in a summer tourist area and it is mobbed so we don't go anywhere to get new pics.  I will bring it back in September.  Actually my blog will be very quiet until September.  If we go anywhere exciting I will post about it.

I did get a new action camera.  Of course we haven't been anywhere to use it.  lol  We had a storm overnight last week.  The next morning it was still windy and the clouds were blowing by.  I put my new camera on a tripod and caught some clouds.  You know I love clouds.  

Enjoy the calming, peaceful drifting clouds.  And yes the birds were that loud.  lol

Hmmm Blogger won't let me upload my 2 min video.  Says it is too big.  

I did make a sped up one that is 14 sec long.  You can't hear the birds but you can see how much the sky changed.

Chincoteague Pony Boat Tour

 Hi Everyone!

My latest video is from our last trip to Chincoteague, VA.  For Father's Day my son got my hubby tickets for a Chincoteague Pony Boat Tour from Cowboy Cruise Company.  We had never went on a pony tour before.  We had a great time.  It was 2 hours long.  Limited to only 6 passengers.  

We went around the whole island of Chincoteague.  We saw 2 different bands of ponies with babies, oystercatchers, ospreys, bald eagles, herons, and at the end lots of dolphins.  Captain Hunter was very knowledgeable and answered tons of questions.  

This is my only teeny complaint and it is the only one I had.  I booked the trip online and was given a marina address to meet up.  We rode around and didn't see a sign with his company.  I called him and he was just pulling up so we were able to find him.  So a meeting place other than just the marina address would have been helpful, like maybe to meet at the bathrooms.  No biggie though since it all worked out.

We definitely will book the tour again.  This is video I made from my GoPro footage.  It was a dark, gloomy, hazy, foggy morning so it really wasn't a good picture/video taking day.  When I get time I will make a slideshow from the pics we took.

Salisbury Zoo Trip

 Hi!

We took a mini vacation last week.  We went to a few familiar places and a few that are new to us.  We had a great time.  One of our new places was Salisbury Zoological Park (Salisbury Zoo).  It was free.  Free parking.  Had a bunch of animals.  Was very nicely landscaped.  Some of the animals were blocked off with signs saying they are at risk from Covid.  We will go back again later hopefully when all the animals aren't at risk.  Enjoy the video!

Foto Friday

 Hello!

Today's Foto Friday pics are from the Delaware Bay Beach in North Cape May, NJ.  We go there all the time but don't always get out of the car.  We usually grab take out and eat in our car watching the water, boats going by, and sometimes dolphins.  It's very peaceful.

This is a Horseshoe Crab.  There were 2 of the them upside down.  We thought they were dead until one moved.  I flipped them over.  One moved in super slow motion headed to the water.  The other didn't move.  High tide was coming soon so we knew they would be in the water once that happened.

Our trip to Strasburg, PA

 Hi!

We went on a trip to Strasburg, PA area.  We rode the train.  It was freezing and windy so we didn't ride the Open Air Car like we usually do. The regular car was really nice.  It had a stove keeping it nice and warm.  It even had a bathroom. 

We drove to a park we were never at before, Susquehannock State Park.  We did most of a trail, Pine Tree Trail.  It was really hard.  We found out later that it is listed as "Most Difficult".  LOL  I'm proud of us for going as far as we did on it.

Before we headed home we stopped at Longwood Gardens.  I posted a link to the video in the previous blog post.

I Won!!!

 Hello!

I won a book on GoodReads!  Yay me!  It arrived today.  Super quick shipping.

 This is the 2nd book I've won there.  My 1st was last year + was a Kindle book.  I love going to GoodReads and reading book reviews.  I found a few of my now fave authors from reading reviews.

Do you read books?  I love thriller, murder mystery types.  2 of my fave writers are Lisa Jackson + Karin Slaughter.

Now I have to find time to read it. 😉
